on that note, do you have any edling fic recs? 👀
this would be a lot easier if i bookmarked all the fics i read. huh
i haven’t actively read any since the days when i consumed edling at a horrifying rate to ease the suffering of being fifteen. obviously there are the ones i wrote as noodlebunny on ao3, but those are a dumpster fire, good god
the ones i saved are probably ones you’ve read if you’ve spent any time on the edling tag at all, soooo……… can i interest you in some meagre edling dug up from my old fma files? it’s a modern au where ed adopts nina, alternatively titled Ed Fights A Twelve Year Old Then Meets His Future Boyfriend
Words: 1.6k
TW for implied child abuse
Edward watches Nina from a bench at the edge of the play park. He shifts his grip on his paper cup while Nina moves from the slide to the monkey bars. There was a time where he would have been up there with her, arms raised and ready if she fell; now that Nina’s seven years old, however, she’s a self-proclaimed big girl who can tackle the monkey bars herself. It’s good, seeing her so independent.
If only Ed’s heart wouldn’t plummet into his stomach every time she so much as slips.
It can’t be helped. Al calls him an over protective mother hen; Ed calls himself sensible, thank you kindly.
Nina clears the monkey bars without a hitch. From the top of the unholy metal playpark structure of death, she gives Ed a winning smile and a wave, sending her two braids flying. Ed waves back, adding a thumbs up for good measure.
His phone pings. Ed fishes it out of his jacket.
Al’s texted, Want to see the cat I saw on campus today??? followed by a string of cat emojis dispersed with hearts.
not really, Ed replies, a smile tugging at him because he knows Al knows he’s lying.
Oops, too late, Al says. The cat’s cute, sort of. Ed doesn’t really get the beasts, but Al’s crazy for them and so is Nina, which means it’s such a damn nightmare when Al encourages her.
demon gremlin creature, Ed sends.
He’s so preoccupied with watching the dots as Al types that he doesn’t hear Nina until she’s crying.
His phone is left abandoned on the bench as he sprints towards her, and oh god, she’s on the ground—what if something’s broken? What if she hit her head, what if—what if she’s hurt bad just because Ed couldn’t keep an eye on her, not for five damn minutes—what if they take her away—
Not until he’s stopping next to her does Ed realise that there’s another girl there too. She’s already helping Nina sit up, her crying has already beginning to taper into little sniffles.
“Nina,” Ed says gently, “Are you okay? Where does it hurt?”
“‘M fine, big brother.” She looks up at him through her tears, as stoic as a seven year old in yellow dungarees can be. Too brave, too willing to hide her pain. “I fell off the climbing wall. It’s just a scrape.”
He gingerly checks her knee over and, yeah, it’s just a sluggishly bleeding cut but there’s sure to be bruising. The plasters and disinfectant are all back at the apartment.
“Oh, here, I can help!”
In what Alphonse fondly dubs as Big Brother Panic, Ed had completely forgotten the girl who helped Nina up. She looks maybe a few years older than Nina, but she’s short and her black hair is in two massive buns so it’s hard to tell. Rifling through her pink backpack, she pulls out a box of plasters and antiseptic salve.
“You just carry that around with you?” Ed asks flatly.
The little girl, previously so sweet to Nina, shoots him a cold glare. “What’s it to you, shortie?”
“Wh—Hey! You’re like, ten! Shortie! Shortie?! I’m a damn giant next to you!”
“Yeah, next to me.” She rolls her eyes. “Not saying much, is it? And I’m twelve, so watch it, or I’ll cut you down another inch.”
Ed’s in half a mind to pick Nina up and nope the fuck out of here. ‘Roasted by a twelve year old’ wasn’t on his schedule. He does the roasting, dammit.
“Big brother, calm down,” says Nina. “You’re being silly.”
Oh, Ed woes the day this doe-eyed girl wrapped him around her little finger.
“Right. Sorry, kiddo.”
“Anyway, I’m Mei,” says the demon in the body of a girl with a pink backpack. “I’m gonna be a doctor someday, so I can help you out.”
“I’m Nina! This is my big brother, Edward. He’s grumpy right now but he’s really the best.”
“Hm.” Mei narrows her eyes at him. “We’ll see.”
He will not stick his tongue out at a child. He will not stick his tongue out at a child.
To her credit, Mei is efficient and gentle about dressing Nina’s cut. She’s got excellent bedside manner too, and by the end of it Nina’s tears are all gone and she’s warmed to Mei like a new best friend. Not all kids are good with younger kids, and Ed’s silently impressed.
“Are you out here alone?” Ed asks as he helps Nina up. Not that Central in the middle of the day is especially dangerous.
“Naw, I’m with my brother. He went to get us ice cream, and then I saw Nina fall down, so I came over to help.”
“Nice of you.”
“Yeah, I’m a nice person.” Mei shrugs her backpack on. “We can’t all be, I suppose.”
“Hey kid, is that supposed to mean something—“
“Big brother Ed, can we get ice cream?” Nina clings very suddenly to Ed’s automail arm, tugging enthusiastically. She’s always been casual about his prosthetics. It’s nice to have someone who doesn’t give it a second glance, even if that someone is a tiny child begging for more sweets.
“I guess so,” ponders Ed, pretending to debate it. “You have been pretty brave today. And it’s hot out. But try be more careful playing next time, okay?”
“‘Kay! Ice cream?”
“Sure.”
“Yay! You’re the best, big brother!”
Ed can’t help but notice Mei watching them strangely. He’s sure they must look strange and not related at all, what with Ed’s Xerxian complexion. Whatever.
“In that case, come meet my brother,” Mei says. “He’s probably waiting for me at the ice cream place. Havoc’s, you know the one?”
“We went there for my birthday!” Nina’s bouncing now. Ed’s whole arm shakes.
“Well, come on then. I have a feeling my bro’s gonna like you.” Mei looks at him funny as she says it. Ed does not like this child.
It’s busy out on such a sunny day. Ed gets a few stares at his arm, and he almost, almost regrets going out in a t-shirt. Then Nina holds his hand tighter, beaming up at him, and he breathes easier.
Now if only he could bring himself to wear shorts too.
“There he is,” says Mei as the ice cream place comes into view. “Ah, jeez, he’s shirtless again.”
“Wait, what?” says Ed.
Mei ignores him in favour of stalking up to a guy about Ed’s age, nineteen or maybe older, who is indeed entirely shirtless. Ed looks furiously away.
“Hey, you dolt!” Mei near-shouts, drawing looks from bystanders. “Put your shirt on in public! You’re so embarrassing, Ling, I can’t believe we’re related.”
“Aw, is my baby sister embarrassed?” Ling chuckles and ruffles her hair, wincing as his hand is slapped away. “It’s hot. I’m just airing out!”
“It’s public indecency, if you’re looking to get arrested again. Where’s our ice cream?”
“Oh, that. It’s a funny story, you know…”
“You ate it?! Again?”
“Ahahah…”
“Buy me another!”
“I would, I would! But that was the last change I had…”
“Ugh! Next time I’m going with Lan Fan and you can’t come.”
“Hey, hey, it’s not my fault you took so long! Chill!”
“I was helping out a girl with a cut knee, so don’t give me that crap.”
Ling seems to notice them, then. He pushes his floppy black hair away and gives Ed a winning grin, sticking his hand out to shake. Ed cringes; he’s gonna have to use his automail hand, and that makes people act so annoyingly awkward.
Ling just grips his hand without missing a beat, shaking firmly.
“I’m Ling!”
“… Ed. This is Nina.”
“Hiya, Nina!” Ling bends down slightly to wave. “Wow, I love your braids. Stylish.”
“Thanks!” Nina chirps, encouraged out of her shell by Ling’s friendliness. She’s not what Ed would call a shy child, but there was a period where she was so withdrawn Ed worried she’d never recover from what her bastard of a father did to her.
Tried to do.
“Your sister’s right,” says Ed to Ling. “You should put a shirt on.”
Way to make friends, idiot. So friendly and approachable.
Ling stares; Mei snorts. Ed contemplates his own terrible, off putting personality.
Then Ling waggles his eyebrows and says, “What, don’t like what you see?”
“Wh— Hey—!” He’s spluttering and bright red and say something! “No, it’s terrible! I hate it! Put a damn shirt on!”
Not that!
He doesn’t dare look Ling in the eyes as he briskly scoops Nina up, much to her indignation, and escapes into the ice cream parlour. He just knows the shirtless idiot is watching him.
“Big brother, can we see them again? They’re so cool!”
“No, they’re not, Nina. They’re the worst and we hate them. Pick a flavour.”
“But what about Mei? She doesn’t get any ice cream!”
“Too bad.”
Oh, no. He’s done it now. Nina’s eyes begin to water and Ed’s heart clenches, already knowing he’s done for.
“Hey, kiddo, I’m sorry.”
“If Mei doesn’t get any, I won’t have any. ‘S not fair if I’m the only one…”
Ed closes his eyes. His counts to three. He faces the facts.
“If that’s the case…”
Later, when they all have ice cream out of Ed’s pocket and stupid Ling is wearing a stupid shirt, Ed adamantly pretends not to hear Mei lean over and say,
“See, I told you my brother would like you.”

percy as a baker/pastry chef percabeth au please :)
okayokay but here me out: percabeth au where they meet the same way you and pastry boy did 👀 (or any sort of percabeth college au you write is pure gold!!)
Sweet on America AUPart 1
“This is ridiculous.”
Piper glances up from her phone to throw Annabeth a look, half exasperated and half teasing. “It’s not ridiculous. It’ll work, trust me.”
“What if I don’t want it to work?” Annabeth says, tucking her feet up underneath herself on the couch and rolling her eyes.
“You do want it to work, or you would have ripped the phone out of my hands by now.”
Annabeth narrows her eyes. “Don’t tempt me.”
“Shut up and help me pick the last photo. What about this one?” Piper holds her phone up, showcasing a photo of Annabeth posing on the Golden Gate Bridge from the last time she visited her dad. “You look really cute in it. Look at that smile.”
Annabeth smiles now, wide and exaggerated and clearly sarcastic. “Sure. Whatever.”
“Jesus, Annabeth, can you at least pretend to be a little excited about this? We could be about to find your soulmate!” Piper exclaims, turning the phone around and getting back to constructing Annabeth’s profile.
“Ew, don’t.” Annabeth throws her head back, letting it sink into the soft cushions. “Just because you’re all loved up with Jason and want someone to go on double dates with -”
“That is not why we’re doing this,” Piper says without looking up.
“It is so why you’re doing this,” Annabeth counters.
Piper pauses her typing to look her in the eye. “We are doing this because it would be nice for you to meet someone new.”
“I don’t need to meet anyone new. My friend quota is already full, thanks.”
“But this isn’t for a friend, it’s for a -”
“If you say ‘lover’ I’m throwing your phone out the window.”
“- date. A date, Annabeth. Don’t hurt my phone.”
Annabeth frowns down at the photo and then sighs, rolling her eyes and lolling her head back dramatically. “Fine. That photo is fine.”
Piper beams and selects it. “Great.”
Five minutes later and she’s practically in Annabeth’s lap as they peruse all of the profiles on offer. And Annabeth will never admit it, but swiping through these photos is kind of fun.
Because that’s all they really are right now, just photos. She analyses their composition, the rule of thirds, the eye contact the guys are making with the camera. She and Piper come up with a list of guidelines: If it’s a shirtless mirror selfie, they’re out. If every photo is a group photo, they’re out. If their bio is empty, they’re out.
They’re still laughing at a ridiculous photo of a guy in a muscle shirt posing on the hood of his shitty car when the next potential match pops up, and the two of them immediately fall silent.
It’s a mirror selfie, but he’s wearing a remarkably well fitted Henley shirt that’s the same shade of blue as his eyes, and his smile is distractingly lovely. Annabeth’s eyes linger on it for longer than they have any of the other photos, but Piper’s gasp draws her attention further down the screen.
‘Percy, 25, Pastry Chef.’
“Pastry chef?!” they say in unison.
“Oh my god, yes, swipe right.” Annabeth reaches over her to swipe her approval.
Instantly, a new screen appears: ‘It’s a match!’
Annabeth’s eyes go wide. It’s not the first match she’s made, but it is the first one she’s actually, actively wanted.
“We have to message him!” Piper squeals, navigating to the ‘messages’ tab.
Annabeth’s stomach drops as she realises there might actually be some stakes here. “No, wait -”
“Oops, my finger slipped,” Piper says coyly, turning the screen just slightly too slowly to hide the barrage of multicoloured hearts that she’s sent floating up the screen and clogging the conversation window.
“Oh my god, Piper! He’s going to think I’m desperate!” Annabeth is embarrassed by how openly annoyed she is at that prospect.
Piper’s grin is far too knowing. “Don’t worry, I’ll fix it.”
She types quickly and presses send before Annabeth can approve the message; ‘Sorry, I’m still getting used to the app and didn’t realise the heart button would do that.’
“You’re making me look like an idiot,” Annabeth says, frowning.
As she’s watching the screen, a new message pops up; ‘Haha that’s all good.’
She takes a deep breath and settles. It’s just words on a screen, nothing to stress about it. Just a cute photo of a cute boy, nothing serious at all.
Piper smiles as she reads his reply. “See, everything’s fine.”
“Yeah,” Annabeth agrees. “Totally fine.”
Piper’s smile falls away as an alarm dings on her phone. “Oh, I’ve gotta go pick up Jason from training. I’ll send you all the messages you get!”
Annabeth watches her gather her things and walks her to the door. “Just keep the explicit ones to yourself, thanks.”
“Oh, I’m going to screenshot them and read them out at your engagement party.”
“You know that you’re the worst, right?”
“Absolutely. Love you!” Piper waves wildly as she runs down the stairs to her car.
Annabeth’s apartment is suddenly overwhelmingly quiet. With Piper gone, she’s left with nothing but the warm glow of the afternoon sun and an overwhelming craving for a croissant.

Three’s A Crowd // G.M. & D.C.C. x Reader // Part Two
Tumblr media
Masterlist Part 1 // Part 2 Requested: yes Word count: 1610 Warnings: angry boys, cursing, smacky smack, a lil bit of making out but not enough to satisfy because it do be like that (oops?)
Author’s note: i’m sorry this took so long and i’m also sorry that the ending is bad yikes
It had been a week since the three of you had attempted to go to Dunkirk. The rain had chased you all home with an incredible thunderstorm and a flood warning, but it had been for the best. The tension had been unbearable and you had not let George drive home. Dean had pretended to sleep and George had ignored the both of you.
And filming had been an absolute disaster.
Sam was ready to put everything on hold because Dean and George could not become Blake and Schofield. After everything that had happened between them, it wasn’t believable and Sam knew it. As the weekend loomed over them, he finally sent the boys to their respective trailers and called it a day.
“Y/N?” Sam motioned you to him. “May I speak with you?”
“Of course.” You sat next to the director, hugging your clipboard to your chest.
“I know that you’re close with both boys and I can tell that something happened last week. Would you mind trying to talk to them?” Sam rubbed his face, tired from the stressful day. “If they can’t figure themselves out, we’re going to have a hell of a time trying to get this done.”
“I’ll do my best.” You stood with a smile, but inside you were nervous. You hadn’t had a good conversation with either of them since the trip.
From the thick tension that appeared whenever the two of them were together, you knew that talking to each of them alone would be best. You approached Dean’s trailer first, your hands shaking.
“Dean?” You knocked lightly on his door. His music shut off and his door flew open. His blue eyes were red and his face, newly fresh of makeup, was streaked and angry.
“What?” He snapped, his voice a bit hoarse.
“Can I come in? Please?” You felt very small as he looked down at you. Dean stared at you for a moment then stood aside.
“Has George sent you?” He asked, throwing himself onto his sofa.
“No, I’m here just for me.” You shot back, crossing your arms. “And Sam wants me to make sure that you’re alright.”
“I’m fine. Why wouldn’t I be?”
“Have you talked to George? Away from set?”
Dean scoffed. “He hasn’t wanted to talk to me. He hasn’t apologized. Why would I talk to him?”
“Because you’re his friend and this movie is also counting on the both of you.” You sat next to him. “And I hate the fact that both of you are fighting.”
“He loves you, you know,” Dean muttered. “We got really drunk one night and that’s when he told me. That’s how this whole thing happened. I was drunk and he was drunk and we talked about you.”
You felt as if your heart was running the trenches. “Well, we’ve been best friends for an eternity. I know he loves me.”
“Y/N don’t be stupid.” Dean snapped. “Why else would he be so angry about me fancying you?”
You were at a loss for words. You had never thought about George fancying you, but there had been plenty of times, more than you cared to admit, that you had thought about him. It was often late at night or after he had just left.
You also found yourself thinking about Dean too, but it didn’t feel the same. You weren’t sure how to feel about him, especially since you hadn’t known him as long.
“Dean, I…”
“You don’t feel the same, I get it.” He squeezed your hand. “I just wish you hadn’t found out this way.”
“No, I don’t know.” You bit back a sob, your head in your hands. “I hate that we’re all fighting and it’s so confusing and I just want my boys to be friends again.”
“If you talk to George, get him to calm down, I’ll talk to him and we can work this out. I just think that you need to talk to him.” Dean gave you a smile, the first smile in a week. “Trust me, I miss him too.”
You hugged him tightly, taking notice of the way he nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck. “Thank you, Dean. I will go talk to George.”
The energy around George’s trailer scared you. You could hear his music and a lot of loud banging noises coming from inside. You knocked on the door, your heart pounding. “George?”
He opened the door, wearing nothing but a pair of old gym shorts. You felt your lungs spasm at the sight of him shirtless, even though you had it before. Apparently, the idea of two boys being in love with you had affected you more than you thought.
“Y/N? What is it?” He asked, leaning against the doorway.
“I-I wanted to talk to you. About everything.” You pushed past him and sat down on the sofa. He shut the door and leaned against the counter.
“Alright, so let’s talk.” He had a glass of something alcoholic that he refilled. “Want some?”
“Um, no thanks.” You didn’t like drinking and he knew that. George only drank when he was upset. “I was just talking to Dean and-”
“Talking, huh?” He quipped, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “Is that it?”
“Honestly what is your problem?” You stood up, anger boiling in your chest. “You’ve been so mean to me and to Dean for the past week and we’ve done nothing to you!”
“What did he say while you two were talking?” He sneered. “He’s rather good at sweet-talking, or at least that’s what he thinks. I hope you had more respect for yourself and you didn’t let him talk his way into your pants.”
Before you could stop yourself, your hand cracked across his face. You had never smacked anyone, but you had never been that angry before. As soon as you did it, you felt regret flow through your body.
“George, I-”
“No, I deserved that.” He sighed. “I’m sorry.”
You sat down again, nervously rubbing your legs. He drank the rest of his drink, his eyes watching your hands. Once he had finished, he sat down beside you. “I’ve been an ass, haven’t I?”
“Yes, you have. The worst part is that I don’t understand why.” You chuckled softly.
“Did Dean tell you anything? Did he tell you about the night we talked about you?” He asked, toying with the strings of your ripped jeans. Your chest began to feel tight when his fingers started to brush your skin.
“Yes, he did.”
“How do you feel?” He started to draw patterns on your exposed skin. You shivered at his touch. Goddammit.
“I don’t know George. I just wish everyone wasn’t fighting.” You sucked down a breath as you locked eyes with him, his blue eyes hypnotizing you. “I just wish you had talked to me.”
“I’m sorry.” He murmured. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” He squeezed your thigh gently. “I was so worried that you would hate me for it.”
“George, I could never hate you.” You leaned on his shoulder, trying to ignore the feeling of his skin.
He slid his free hand into your hair and lifted your face, pulling you into a passionate kiss. You melted into his hold, gripping his shoulders as he deepened the kiss. He pulled you onto his lap with one hand, never letting go of your thigh. You tangled your fingers in his hair, sighing into his kisses.
You had never felt so good. This had never felt so right.
“George…” You gasped as his lips attached to your neck, his hand sneaking up to your hips and his thumb pressing circles into your skin.
“Hm?” He glanced up at you from his place at your collarbone, his teeth nipping at your skin.
“We have to stop, you… you have to talk to him.” You murmured, tugging his head away from you. George sighed. He knew you were right, that the feud between him and Dean needed to stop, but he didn’t want to leave.
“Do we have to go now?” He whined. You laughed and planted a kiss on his nose.
“I don’t have to go anywhere. You have to go and make amends with your best friend.”
George furrowed his eyebrows. “I thought you were my best friend.”
You slid off his lap with a playful grin, lying back on his sofa. “If you keep kissing me like that, I don’t think we can be just friends anymore.” You nudged the shocked Brit with your foot. “Now go, I’ll be here when you come back.”
He stood up and slipped on his shirt, his eyes grazing over your body with an unfamiliar hunger. It gave you goosebumps. “Promise?”
“Just go!” You laughed. George gave you one last kiss and then left.
You got up and grabbed one of his sweaters, slipping it on over your t-shirt and inhaling his familiar scent. You had always felt so happy in George’s presence, but you never thought that those midnight fever dreams would ever become a reality. Part of you felt sad for turning Dean away, but the other side of you knew that your heart had always belonged to George. Even when you had gone out with other guys, George had seemed so hostile towards them and you had hated watching him flirt with girls in bars. You had thought at the time that you had just had an issue with the girls he was picking, but you realized that you had wanted him to choose you.
Instead, you had done the choosing. And you had chosen him.

FFT: it all started with glow paint; jeff hardy
Notes:
Did I ever mention to ya’ll that I am legit still in love with Jeff Hardy? No? Oops, sorry. Anyway, this ask came into my main from @xladyxfatex and I had to move it to this blog, of course. Couldn’t lose this one. I had fun writing Jeff again. Perhaps I’ll write even more Jeff Hardy in the future? Who knowsss.
Summary:
Iris decides to ditch a girls night out and sneak down to the room Jeff hangs out in whilst he’s painting. Flirting and playing with glow in the dark paint and making out ensues.
Warnings:
uhh.. paint in places not a canvas. mentions of nudity. innuendo. steamy makeout.
Pairing:
Jeff Hardy x OFC, Iris
Tumblr media
His taller muscular frame filled the doorway to the dressing rooms and he chuckled quietly to himself. Inside the room, Iris wiggled her hips as she whipped her hair around and giggled quietly. He’d overheard her earlier saying she was getting ready to go out and quote-unquote “Dance her little ass off.”  and just the thought of other men seeing her like she was dressed currently had the North Carolina native up in arms. He nearly shot a foot into the air as he felt a finger tapping the back of his shoulder.
“Being a creeper again, I see?” Lita gave a soft and knowing smirk as Jeff tried to play it off. Trish was quick to speak up and call him out. “ Ya know, if you just actually made a move as opposed to skulking around and taking out pretty much any other guy who shows interest, Jeffro.. You might possibly get somewhere. Something to think about?” Trish mused with a soft laugh as she shut the door in the man’s face, drawing a pout to his lips.
Trish and Lita shared a look and wandered over to the newest hire to the roster, flanking her on either side. “Happy 21st!”
“I know right? I can finally legally drink!” Iris giggled, sitting down the almost neon pink lipstick she’d been about to put on, staring at herself in the mirror. She realized that Lita and Trish were staring at her and then kind of trying to subtly have a muted conversation over her head and she cleared her throat. “Okay, out with it. What’s going on, huh?”
“Well…”
“Here’s the thing, tiny.” Lita took the lead. She knew Matt and Jeff better and she knew that Jeff was literally never going to step up. But he would keep taking on every single guy who even dared look at Iris wrong and earlier tonight, he’d almost bitten off much more than he could chew when all 3 members of the Brood tried ganging up on him. It had taken Matt and one or two others just to break up the insanity at the end.
It had taken Jeff at least two hours to calm down and stop threatening to go and find Edge and kick his fucking head in for whatever thing he’d done or said towards Iris that Jeff wasn’t particularly fond of, too. Lita just hadn’t seen Jeff get that way before, so she knew that whatever he was feeling was real and until he got it out, it was going to keep him from having his head totally in the game.
“Yeah?”
“ Remember how you were telling us you thought a certain Enigma was so hot?” Lita teased gently, laughing to herself at how easy this was potentially going to be as soon as she saw the look on the younger female’s face and saw those big brown eyes getting that dreamy and faraway look she often got whenever Jeff Hardy was concerned.
Iris eyed Lita with a raised brow and a hand on her hip, the other one tangled in long blondish brown waves. “Yeah? And?”
“What if I told you that the Enigma in question might feel the same way?”
Iris started to laugh but her laughter trailed off as soon as she saw the calm serious looks on the two older females faces while they stared at her. She swallowed hard and muttered in a quieter tone, “Okay, you have my attention..”
“But you know how shy he is, Iris.” Lita started, Trish chiming in in a velvet purr, “Sometimes men.. They have to be lead.”
“Lead, huh?”
“Mhm. And maybe, Iris, if you were to go down to the room he always disappears to.. Maybe you’d have a better time tonight than if you were going out drinking with all of us like we planned.” Lita finished, nodding towards the door, giving the other female a gentle push towards. Iris swallowed hard, her hand poised to reach for the handle.
Trish tossed a tee shirt at their friend and called out through laughter, “You might want to actually finish getting dressed first, goofball.”
“Good idea.” Iris tugged the shirt down over her body and opened the door, taking a deep breath. She had to relax. She knew Jeff wasn’t the kind of guy who’d ever really.. approach her first, Lita and Trish were right. If someone was going to do something, it clearly fell to her.
She wandered down to the area Jeff always hung out in to paint or play his guitar and she’d been about to raise her hand to knock, but instead, she quietly pushed the door open.
Jeff stood there shirtless, the shirt he’d been wearing earlier tied around his hips as he stared at a canvas that glowed with several varied shades of pink and purple and orange. He didn’t hear the soft click of the door as she closed it. He didn’t hear her tiptoeing softly across the room either. She pressed against his back and he tensed a little, muttering a quiet “What the fuck?” before turning around.
“Iris? Hey.. What are you doin here, darlin? I thought you were goin out with Lita and Trish.”
… come on mouth, work!… Iris took a few deep breaths and pressed herself against him, staring up, lazily pressing a fingertip against those kissable lips of his. “Well, see.. I got to thinking.. I can go out and drink anytime now.” Iris trailed off, getting distracted by bright and deep jade-colored eyes and Jeff’s breath caught in his throat as he muttered huskily, “Yeah?” and his arms wrapped around her, hands locking across her lower back. Iris grimaced at the cold wet paint that he’d had smeared on his hands that was now on her skin and before she could stop herself, she was whimpering at the lingering touch. It seemed to make something snap in Jeff and he pulled her even closer, leaning down and pulling her up slightly. “So you want to spend your birthday with me, hm? Am I getting that right?”
“Mhm.” Iris practically purred the one-word response and Jeff gripped her more firmly, clearing his throat. When he spoke again, it was with a hint of a smirk. “Sweet.” as his hand squeezed her ass, grinding her against him in the process. Iris hissed at the feel of more cold and wet paint on her body. With a giggle, she reached out, grabbing a paintbrush covered in pink. “Ya know, this is my favorite color…” she drawled, painting an arrow pointing down his abdomen. Jeff swallowed hard and chuckled quietly, “Really now, Darlin? I hadn’t noticed.” he pretended to be totally shocked and as he was staring down at her intently, his hand reached back, grabbing for the paintbrush he’d discarded when she snuck up on him. He dipped the brush into the pink paint and gave a low, dark chuckle as he slid the brush down the front of her shirt similar to the way she’d done to him.
Iris reached up, the paintbrush clattering to the floor quietly and taking his face in her hands, she pulled his mouth against her own as deep as she could manage and somehow, he managed to further deepen the kiss to a point where Jeff Hardy honestly couldn’t tell where he ended and she began. He was picking her up, sitting her on the edge of a table nearby. His hands slipped down, fingertips toying with the hem of a tee shirt.
One of his merch shirts, to be exact. He started to tug it upward and Iris gave a shaky gasp, her hands moving over his chest, dragging through wet paint as her legs circled his waist. The more his tongue tangled and dominated her own and the more light-headed she became, the further she wanted to push it. Her shirt settled on the floor and the shirt tied around his waist did the same. Purple glowing paint-covered hands roamed back up her body, gripping her breasts and squeezing them together as he bucked into her and growled against her neck at the way her quiet whimpers and soft pleas filled the quiet between them. Her white bra was now glowing purple on either side and as his hands gripped her thighs and squeezed, purple handprints lingered on soft skin, making her nip at his bare chest and making him whimper almost helplessly as she started to nip and bite her way down.
He stopped her, shaking his head, leaning her back on the table, leaning down into her. “Oh no, birthday girl. No. Tonight, I’m gonna take care of you..” he drawled as his lips ghosted over her abdomen and he fixed lust filled jade-colored eyes on her intently, his tongue slowly dragging over his lips….

In case you missed it: this happened right before
“So, what’s this about a party tonight?” You innocently asked, curiosity peaked once you finally settled after your little encounter.
Kihyun looked up from the worn down Tupperware he was eating from, Kung Pao chicken long forgotten. His words came out muffled, smothered in rice and noodles as a few stray pieces of chicken slipped out. His cheeks were puffed out, the hamster themed nickname still coming to mind as you watched him try to swallow his mouthful before attempting to talk again.
“Don’t worry about it. Yoongi is just being an asshole, like always.”
Scoffing, you reach forward and let Kihyun feed you a fork-full of his soggy noodles. Chewing thoughtfully before speaking, something that slips Kihyun’s mind far too easily, you deadpan, “That doesn’t answer my question. I wouldn’t mind going, if that’s what you’re worried about.”
“That’s not it.”
“Then what? You think Yoongi is gonna make a move on me? Don’t you think you could have a little more faith in me, Kihyun?” You couldn’t help but feel your voice strain at the accusation, as if you couldn’t help yourself much like a hungry dog to a full meal.
“Well let me think, the last time you were at a party, it was when you and I met, and I fucked you brainless that night. Who’s to say it won’t happen again tonight, a rerun episode but with a different character this time.” Kihyun looked at you, almost scornfully. This was a complete 180 from his earlier demeanor, his attitude waning from cocky and smooth to spiteful and stinging. It hurt you more than you wanted to lead on, but you couldn’t help as your volume increased with every syllable you spoke.
“Are you kidding me? I was specifically looking to get laid that night, I wasn’t even seeing anyone! If we can even say that’s what we’re doing. I mean, you’ve fucking taken me on one whole date and fooled around with me a few times every now and then. Forgive me for being ‘that girl’ but what the fuck are we, Yoo Kihyun?!”
He sighed, his soft pink hair draping down in a small curtain over his gleaming skin. You hated how your finger itched to sweep it back and expose the polished marble underneath. “Baby, please,” he whispered, breathless and pleading. His eyes matched the vulnerability his voice exposed, an emotion clearly raw and unused by the peach haired man. “Just… I don’t want to lose you. Yoongi is my friend, yes, but he’s also like me. A lot like me, actually.”
Giving into the temptation, you let your digits carefully drag his hair to neatly land past his forehead, thumb brushing the skin there gently. “You’re afraid of losing me?” Your voice was laced with disbelief, the entire emotional ride from the car earlier and afterwards still not convincing you that Kihyun was completely a changed man.
He could only nod, the motion making his hair come crashing back like waves of salmon cascading on the pearly white sands of his flawless skin.
A whisper, was all you could muster. It was small, meek and easily lost in the white noise of Kihyun’s apartment. But Kihyun’s head perked up at the squeak of it, hearing you in crystal clear definition. His lips toyed with a smile and he stood up from where he sat on his couch (“It’s a loveseat, a couch is so much rattier” Kihyun had said when you commented on his high end furniture earlier.) to press a chaste kiss to your lips, keeping it surprisingly PG, save for the hands that settled low on your hips. You wondered if there were magnets on his hands and your hipbones, with how they always seemed to come together one way or another.
His breath felt like heaven as it intermingled with yours, despite that both of your tongues were heavy with soy sauce.
“Baby?”
Eyes bright, shining and gleaming like the softest pebble in a trickling brook, he took your hand in his and brought it to his lips to mimic the kiss he placed on your lips onto the skin of your hand.
“I’d be honored if you’d be my date to Jin’s party tonight.” His voice was rough, a promise that this was only going to go further as his continued to pepper kisses down to your wrist in succession, awaiting your answer. When you finally exhaled and breathed out a light and airy yes, Kihyun just couldn’t restrain himself any longer.
It went on for what felt like hours but his neat little alarm clock on his bedside table marked as 47 minutes. Every second had your spine tingling, toes curling while your breath forever stayed caught in your throat. You can’t even remember how many times you’d come but when Kihyun finally had, it was glorious, like a victory in itself.
He was high, keening as his moans sounded more like vocal exercises rather than exclamations of passion. Every sweet note strung along like a melody of lusts and, if you dared to say, love. It soothed every aching muscle that screamed for you to come down from whatever position he had you bent into at the time, ease in your bones as he whispered sweet praises against your skin and stamped it with a kiss in order to seal it underneath.
Kihyun continued to kiss your shoulders softly, fingers gracing every inch of your body as he seemed to seep the tension away from your bones. You sighed contentedly as his fingers brushed a particularly sore bruise along the meat of your hips, where Kihyun’s grip never faltered as he dove into you time and time again.
“Are you up for a shower babe? Or should I draw you a nice, warm bath? I have bath salts and stuff,” You looked back to question Kihyun with a glare, lips pursing to stifle a laugh that was threatening to come out. “What? A man can have that stuff, it’s relaxing as fuck. Besides, it helps me have this perfect skin that you love so much.”
“I do not love your skin—“
“Baby girl, you practically worship it. I see where you look, it’s either there, my hair or my dick.”
“I look at you as a person, you asshole. But a bath works, mostly because I don’t trust my legs to work anymore than I trust a lump of jelly to hold me up. And don’t say you can do it because you’re no muscle pig Yoo, you’ll get tired from holding me up eventually.” He shrugged and slipped out from where he was spooning you, leaving you with one last kiss imprinted on your cheek before he left the half-lit room into the direction you knew his bathroom was in.
Laying there in a sated silence, the air was thick from the scent of sex but also from the swelling you felt in your heart. You swore that Kihyun felt the same fullness inside, warm and satisfied like after a huge meal.
It was like a breath of fresh air, clinging to the sacs in your lungs as you finally felt some sort of true satisfaction from the sex, not just the lulling pleasure afterwards from a good lay but instead, the feeling of being safe; comforted by the idea that Kihyun isn’t going to kick you out this time, and there was more to offer than just a hot meal in the morning.
Maybe he’d even give you a key for his apartment.
Shaking your head, you wanted to stop those thoughts from breeding; as hope springs eternal. The last thing you wanted was to have an idea for the future only for things not to work out and have it all ripped away from you right before your eyes. Like a magician’s trick: stealing the cloth from under all the silverware. But you were surely not a magician, and you knew a novice like yourself would tug on a corner of the fabric only to tear everything in shambles, every glass and plate falling over and teetering over the edge to break in a million shards and fragments, impossible to piece together even with the best glue money can buy. You’d only make a mess and it’d be yours to clean up, despite all the cuts and blood you’ll spill in the process.
“Babe? Did you hear me?” Kihyun’s voice traveled from the bathroom, the sound bouncing off the porcelain sink and tiled walls only to reach down the hall just enough for you to hear the barest hint of it. Kihyun’s head followed his voice, poking in the doorway, revealing a mop of semi-wet pink along with a shirtless torso with small droplets of water making their way south with the aid of gravity. “You ready?”
You could only muster a small whine, reaching out your arms and giving him the best grabby hands you could manage. Kihyun laughed, breathless and lovely, as you approached your nude body on the bed, still tangled in his expensive bedsheets. Though no amount of money can make up for the damage you two did to them in the last hour.
It took some maneuvering but Kihyun finally got a decent enough grip that didn’t make you brain yourself on the walls of the hallway, the small trek over to the bathroom feeling much long with how many times Kihyun had to readjust his grip.
(“Kihyun! That’s my ass!” “Oops, sorry my bad.”)
Dipping you in gently, the warm water lapped up your body as Kihyun slowly let your body drift naturally into the large bathtub he had, the bath salts settling around you as you finally seated yourself properly. Kihyun smiled in satisfaction as you felt every tense muscle ease with the hot water and rose bath salts.
Rose seemed fitting, what with Kihyun’s hair and all. You had to keep in a laugh at the thought, not wanting Kihyun to think you were being unappreciative of all he’d sweetly done for you.
He hummed softly as he pattered around the bathroom, completing a few finishing touches by lighting some candles, dumping some more salt in the tub along with scented rose petals. You couldn’t help but smile at his thoughtfulness, feeling the ache melt of your body as the water took a more pinkish hue.
“Hey Ki?” He hummed to acknowledge he was listening, back facing you as he finished with the last candle and flicked off the light switch to reveal the warm orange glow that naturally bred in the tiled room with the help of the dozen or so burning flames. “Can… can you put some music on? It doesn’t have to be anything specific,” You chewed on your lip, wondering if you could finish what you wanted to ask since you’d never asked this of him before. “And maybe you could… sing? You don’t have to if you don’t want.” You hurriedly added the remainder of your sentence, not wanting him to feel forced to reveal this part of his life.
He laughed once more, it was small and light and airy like the cotton candy you thought his hair resembled.
“Sure baby girl, whatever you want. I’m gonna turn on the stereo in the living room,” He has a stereo in his living room? Granted you hadn’t really noticed since every time you’ve been here there had been more… pressing matters.
He stepped out of the room and left you alone once more, though now you could clearly hear him shuffling to and fro in the living room just down the hall. You ventured to sneak a peek, craning your neck and jostling the waters around you. You caught sight of Kihyun’s skin passing by a few seconds at a time, his pink hair flopping with him. It was cute, like a lost puppy.
Soon a low, reverberating bass hummed through the floors all the way to the tub, making the water ripple from the sound. It wasn’t loud enough to disturb the neighbors but it at least gave the atmosphere what it was missing, white noise to distract from the drippy faucet and the flickering candles. Settling back into the tub, you patiently waited for Kihyun to return to join you.
Except he never came.
“Ki? Baby?” You spoke into the darkness that enveloped the living room now, apparent that the lights had been turned off. He shouted a small coming! that made you smile, his voice sounding further than normal, meaning he’d probably stopped by the kitchen.
He returned with a bottle of blood red wine, two glasses in tow. He smiled his all too perfect smile and you couldn’t help but return it, the heat radiating from you in waves so strongly that you’re sure it fueled the flames around you to glow a tad bit brighter, if that were even possible.
Setting the items down by the tub, Kihyun motioned for you to sit straight and he stepped into the tub behind you, settling his back against the edge of it. Once he spread his legs and had them on either side of you, he pulled you back into his embrace, your wet back meeting his warm and surprisingly more broad than you remembered chest.
He sighed, deep in his throat and it made his chest vibrate with the sound. It lulled you to lean your head back on his shoulder, eyes lazily meeting his own half lidded ones.
Without warning, Kihyun began to sing, in the octaves of dripping gold and honey. The song was already partway through but it didn’t stop Kihyun from harmonizing from what felt like the heavens above. You swore the sound alone cradled your lungs and kept the air from filling them up.
“So here we go, go again,” His hands stroked along your sides, soft and trembling along the smooth skin there.
“It’s like I’m caught under your spell,” Kihyun reached past the cusp of the tub, pulling back with a glass of wine for yourself, his own cradled under the lazy grip on the hand he had braced on the side closest to the wall. You couldn’t help but take a slow pull of the bloody liquid, the slow and slightly room temperature drink making its way down your throat like molasses, like it had all day to reach the pit of your stomach and warm you to a decent buzz. The flavor that followed was tart, sans any bitterness as it tasted as sugar sweet as everything else that came with knowing Kihyun.
“You’re wearing black, black magic,” His hand pulls back a few strands of your hair from your face, the water clinging to the hair and making it stick to your scalp. Some of the drops cascaded down your face, your eyes naturally coming to close at the sensation.
An idea burned in Kihyun’s mind, his cock twitching at the filthy thought. Letting his hand rest at your clavicles, he brings his own wine glass to his lips, the deep and rich red contrasting with the lilac pink that dusted his lips. As he sipped hungrily on the drink, your eyes slowly opened to the sight of a singular drop of red slipping past the seam of his lips, trailing down the column of his perfect throat, where a prominent vein lay. Before it could drag any lower, you latched your mouth there was best you could without twisting your body into that resembling a question mark. Sucking lightly, you make sure to pass your tongue and capture all of the fruity taste that the wine left sticky on his skin.
He groaned, the noise matching a vibration that hummed with your lips where they were attached. Pulling his glass away, he smacks his lips and chases the taste from his lips with a pass or two of his own tongue, mimicking how you lapped at his neck. You returned to your earlier position, head resting on Kihyun’s shoulder once more as he continued to sing, his voice slightly more raspy with something akin to want; like fire licked at his throat and vocal chords instead of yourself.
“Well, baby don’t wear nothing else,” His touch scorched now—burning a trail of need in the wake where your veins lay. No longer were his digits innocently skimming your sides, they gripped and tugged with intent, malicious indeed. He reached forward to cup your left breast with his only free hand, toying with your nipple and making you whimper as shocks made their way past your ribcage and down into the water, where your core was twitching.
“Well, open up this door,” Kihyun punctuated his igniting words as his hand dipped down under the water, gently skimming where you burned the hottest. You jolted at the phantom touch, ripples in the water and some sloshing over the edge in reaction to your sudden movement. Some of Kihyun’s wine crashed against the edge of the glass, a few stray droplets coming down in rich rivulets, each one larger than the next as they reached their end and dripped off the clear glass.
When they landed in the water, they tinged the area for just a mere moment, before the amount of water diluted to color and took the opaque red away and replaced it with the peach of the bath salts. You felt several grains swirl around you while you kicked around, trying to fight the extreme sensations Kihyun was bringing to you without even as much as touching you properly.
“Don’t you play,” He chuckled into your ear, his breath hot and heavy against the shell of it as his tongue came to follow. The burst and blooming of pleasure that came to fruition made you whine, keening in hopes that Kihyun would show mercy to his bathing lover. He suckled along your neck, bringing the glass of wine in his hand to your neck and tipping it over purposely, the cool liquid splashing audibly on your shoulder.
He watched with a burning fever as the wine stained your skin, leaving sticky sweet trails of color until it either ran off the sides into the milky bath water or collected in the space between your bones, in pools of inky red in your clavicles.
Unable to resist any longer, he sucked and lapped at the gaps where the liquid stayed static. You gasped at his hot mouth latched on your body, tasting every drop of wine along with the salty tang of your own skin, intermingling with the bitter rose water that still dotted your skin in pin pricks. Once he deemed you clean of the wine, he whispered your name, breathless, in your ear. You shivered at the sound, realizing he was just as wrecked as you were. His cock was solid behind you, full after all the teasing he’d succumbed you to.
“Ain’t no other man, gon’ make you feel the same,” He half whispered-half sang against your neck, his breath coming short and desperate. The water swished and sloshed around the tub, the motion between the two of you causing it to erupt in waves to the point of cascading over the side and splashing down on the tile and soaking the maroon bath mat that lay on the other side.
Kihyun took the time to extract your wine glass from your trembling fingers, no fight in you as you relinquished the glass with minimal effort. He placed his and your own where he had originally put them, next to the half-full bottle that still stood there untouched.
“Wanna make, wanna make love,” He whimpered as you grinded back against him, causing his head to brush up against you over and over again. Had he not been submerged in that moment, you were sure he’d be drooling pre-come all over your ass, no doubt making a mess like always.
He gripped your hips, that pesky magnet coming back into play, as he rocked against your backside. The water was relentless, constantly splashing and almost completely covering the sound of the music in the background.
“Girl, I can’t lie,” Kihyun was practically begging now, his singing barely above a whisper as he tried to put his focus in working his hips along you. All you could rely on for satisfaction was the ghosting fingertips of Kihyun’s hand dipping down to tease along your thighs, and the constant slap of the splashing water against your hot core. It was a siren’s call, begging you to succumb to the utmost pleasure you needed, to just push Kihyun’s fingers where you needed them most. But unfortunately, nature doesn’t work that way and water does just the opposite effect of what you need in order to proceed as you would normally.
If it was up to you, you’d already be full of Kihyun, bouncing in his lap as you rode him into next week.
“I’m just a sucker,” Kihyun mouthed at your neck again, his voice finding some strength as he fucked against you, the mere pressure and friction driving him mad.
“For a cold-hearted lover,” He whispered something into your ear after that particular lyric, something akin and along the lines of a breathless apology. As if he was sorry for whatever he’d done to you before, for ever making you feel less than the royalty he thought you deserved to be.
“You make me suffer,” Kihyun couldn’t hold back his own whimpers and moans, the thread inside him finally unraveling as he pistoned his hips against you, the smacks of his skin against your audible along with the slaps of waves of water colliding with each other as they traveled in opposite directions. Every forward thrust from Kihyun made you come to meet with an opposing force, another hard wave of water coming in contact with your lower half and making you squirm, only causing more smacks against you in return.
“Don’t keep me waiting,” He finished himself off, one particularly hard grind against you making him erupt in white-hot pleasure, his come going straight into the water. It made the water between you two murkier, and Kihyun made sure to ask that you were on the pill, to ensure you weren’t going to get pregnant from any stray swimmers. Once you nodded vigorously, Kihyun chuckled and finished with a few more thrusts, letting his high ride out its duration before he returned to singing into your ear, both hands coming around to tease at your nipples.
“You should come over,” Kihyun teased, his breath fanning over the side of your face as he ground his now-soft cock into you, in hopes to keep the motion so you’d climax soon. The fingers that pulled and played with your nipples sent shocks of sensations of everywhere, toes curling from the aching pleasure you felt ramping up inside you.
Kihyun chuckled against your skin, the sound bringing you that much closer to the edge. You couldn’t help it as you rose up higher against him, your back sticking to his chest as you head rolled back to crane onto his shoulder, your eyes meeting Kihyun’s own burning dark orbs. You could see the aching satisfaction gleaming back at you, his skin mocking you once more with just how fucking pretty he was. You always seemed to notice this at this point, before or after you get to come. It’s a sex revelation, you come to realize.
“You should come, you should come baby,” Kihyun pointed the lyrics to you, fingers grazing the inside of your thighs and the mixture of his sickeningly sweet voice made you topple over the edge, your fingers gripping the edges of the tub until white bled into your skin as you came harder than you’re sure you’ve ever had—completely untouched.
At least, untouched in the proper sense.
Kihyun whispered praises in your ear, still rocking you gently to ride out your own orgasm along with the soft waves the curled in the water. Your eyes were closed, the pleasure too intense to handle with them open. You felt like you were at the beach, lost at sea; floating and buoyant in the open waters. The only thing that kept you anchored, tethered to reality, was Kihyun’s lilting voice telling you how good you are, how well you did, how proud he was of you. You could feel the bubbles forming in your stomach, erupting into small brush fires that stoked something even hotter inside you, something burning and cooking you from the inside out. It was like sticking fruit on a grill, locking in the sweetness inside you with the heat alone. The heat from Kihyun and what he did to you.
As you tried to come back from your high, you registered Kihyun still softly speaking into your ear, though his speaking was gentler now, if even that was possible. It was curling around you like smoke off a cigar, enticing you to fall even deep for him.
“Don’t make me suffer, don’t make me suffer,” He reached every octave, with ease in a way that made your stomach lurch to hear him sing more, to hear him in a opera hall; unadulterated and raw, the way he made you feel.
“I won’t, I promise,” You whispered back, hoarsely but still audible. You knew you were answering something that wasn’t intended to be, but you couldn’t help yourself. You had to say something, the words were stoking something fierce inside you to the point that you felt like if you never opened your mouth, you’d never survive the night. Kihyun coaxed these words and feelings out of you like it was nothing.
You certainly weren’t a magician, incapable of hiding your true intentions and able to keep the veil of illusion up while simultaneously aweing the audience and keeping their attention enraptured—but Kihyun was. He was the best among them all, able to breathe fire into your lungs and make you bend every which way to his will, to his word. All while looking like an angel himself.
But the angel may just turn out to be the devil, dressed in pretty lace and pastels.
The song Kihyun sang said that you were the reason for his suffering, but it might just be the other way around. He might be the actual, literal death of you. And that… that might just be okay.
What a way to go.
